Wilmington Regional Transit

Special Handling

In compliance with federal regulations, we provide reservations for passengers with disabilities, including those who use wheel chairs, motorized scooters and those who are accompanied by service animals.

Children Passengers

Wilmington Regional Transit welcomes the opportunity to serve our younger travelers when accompanied by a responsible adult. If making an online/ phone reservation, please disclose the number of children traveling so we can reserve an approved car seat, if the child is under the minimum age/ weight standards. State laws do not allow children to ride in the lap of an adult.

Passengers under the age of sixteen must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire duration of the ride. WRT will refuse service is a child is not old enough to ride alone without a parent or guardian.

Pets

Pets are permitted with advance reservations. All pets, excluding service animals, must be kenneled at all times. Pets less than 25 pounds may be held in a lap carrier at all times. Service animals are permitted on vehicles. Please be mindful of the size of vehicle while booking.
